Aito makes the power of AI accessible to every team in the world by turning developers into champions that deploy machine learning in no time. The early users of the startup include IKEA, Comcast, and Posti, the Finnish logistics giant. The startup has brought to market the fastest and easiest machine learning tool for automation teams and developers. Aito is used as a database with simple predictive queries.

The Challenge: Creating a self-serve product onboarding that is not dependent on developers

  • Amazon SES requires coding experience, and it’s too technical.
  • Implementing and modifying emails in Amazon SES creates development dependencies and brings the whole product-led growth to a halt.
  • Other solutions like HubSpot are too expensive and don’t serve startups and digital companies well.

As Aito was growing and moving toward a product-led self-service model, the team needed a robust platform that can automate behavior-based emails at scale, but also something that can be easily used by non-technical people.

“Previously, the product onboarding involved a lot of manual work as we were creating the [Aito] instances that we had to give to our customers manually. Now it's all fully automated. We use Encharge to send automated emails that inform the users when their instance has been created or deleted, but also emails reminding users to use the service like, for example, use cases.”

Before Encharge, Aito was struggling with implementing and editing these emails in Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) due to the technical nature of the platform.

To find a better solution, Maria and the team started by checking HubSpot but quickly realized it wouldn’t fit their needs and budget.
